Griffiths Bros was here.

Updated 19th October 2022, Award-Winning Ad Campaign

We are Australia’s most experienced coffee roasters, serving the nation since 1879.

Griffiths Bros. Coffee Roasters founded in 1879 has been brewing up business in Melbourne for over 140 years.

Whilst fuelling the nations' love affair with coffee we've been here for it all. We've witnessed roller skaters in Rundle Mall, seen double decker trams rattling across Melbourne, through to the birth of surfing and the rise of ladies cricket. Did you know we even joined Mawson on his South Pole expedition?

We kicked off our operations with rudimentary coffee stalls where coffee beans were pan-fried over coal. It wasn’t until the American troops came to our pacific shores that Griffiths Bros started roasting at a commercial level, (funnily they had to import the Burns 300kg coffee roaster from the USA via the Australian Tea Board).

Jump forward and we're still an Australian family-owned and operated business, now running a state-of the art Brambarti roasting facility. We hold the highest industry certification and are now powered by the sun to produce 10-12 tonnes of coffee a week helping us fuel your local cafe and satisfy your coffee fix.

We're Australia's oldest roastery and we are still going strong. Experienced? We've got decades under our belts. Whether you are a cafe owner wanting to build your business or a barista wanting to bring your vision to life speak with one of our experienced coffee specialists and let us help plan for your growth and greater success.

Learn more about our wholesale coffee provision and let us be your coffee fix.

Keep your eyes peeled for Griffiths Bros was here campaign bursting in time to celebrate the return of Melbourne Coffee Week 2022. Through the power of paper and glue, we are taking our campaign to the streets and making them an inescapable part of Melbourne’s urban landscapes with a blitz of rock posters. This creative will also be rolled out on web and social media advertising.

"Sometimes the best we can do is brand archaeology. This digs up a truth of the brand, then brings it up to date in a fresh punkish way. It has the coffee-roasted whiff of an agency initiative, but for the small community it is aimed at, it does its job." - Guest Judge Toby Allen, ECD, The & Partnership, London
